FRAME (=FRAseologia Multilingue Elettronica) is a multilingual phraseological electronic resource.
The database structure is composed of two levels:
- The first, termed the «entryfield», representing an extension of the traditional structure of the definition of the lemma, which can be easily and quickly consulted
- The second, the «description field», completing the analysis of theunit in a detailed way, describing it precisely based on the various linguistic levels (morphological, syntactic, semantic-pragmatic and discursive) (Croft, 2001)
The languages for which a phraseological description is contemplated are: Chinese, French, German English, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
This project is financed by the University of Milan and calls for the participation of Italian and foreign universities.
